Founded in 1983 by Richard (Rick) Whitcomb and Donna Whitcomb, Agape Gospel Mission has been shaped by their enduring faith and steadfast leadership over decades of ministry. With a clear calling to reach those who have never heard the gospel, raise up strong African church leaders, and rescue orphaned and vulnerable children, they established the mission statement that continues to guide every aspect of the work today. What began as a step of obedience has grown into a ministry serving across 10 countries in Africa and the Middle East—still anchored in the same threefold vision: to evangelize the lost, empower the Church, and embrace the poor, or simply, to Reach, Raise, and Rescue.
