Elections in Ghana

On December 7 voters will elect a new president and members of parliament in Ghana. This landmark election will be the first time a president who won power in democratic elections serves two terms and hands over the presidency. Corruption and fraud threaten the integrity of the elections, which angers people from all political parties. In recent months, violence has been escalating throughout the nation. These next few months could determine the stability of Ghana for years to come. Please intercede for peace and for God's will to be accomplished through this election. Pray for leaders to be elected who will help the kingdom of God advance across Ghana and West Africa.

AABS Conferences

aabs

Currently the Agape Association of Bible Schools has 85 member schools with a combined enrollment of 679 students. Since our start in 2004 the schools have also graduated 159 students. AABS empowers these schools by providing a variety of resources, such as a 48 course curriculum and an annual conference to equip the directors. This year's conference is October 28-31. Top notch speakers will address the main sessions, and some of our directors will address pertinent topics of running a Bible school in the afternoon workshops. Please join us in prayer for these items:

* The eight speakers for the main sessions and workshops
* That our Bible school directors will be greatly equipped and encouraged
* That many "outsiders" will also attend and catch the AABS vision for their church
* Grace for us to prepare and direct the conference
* God's will regarding a pending relocation of the AABS offices

Academy Partners Banquet

We are holding a Partners Banquet for the Agape Children's Home and Academy on November 1 in Virginia. Ministry partners will gather to hear first-hand accounts from Ghana, and will be given an opportunity to partner further with the ministry. Please pray for all preparations to go smoothly, and that we will have a very good turnout. Pray for relationships to be established and strengthened; for all attendees to catch the vision and share it with others.

AGM Nigeria

Violence in Nigeria

The gospel is moving forward through the AGM church in Nigeria, but not without numerous challenges. In the final quarter of 2008 Pastor Chris Marere will lead AGM Nigeria through a building project, evangelistic outreaches and continued church planting. Please pray for God's provision for all these activities. Many people in the church are without jobs, and your prayers could make a crucial difference. Finally, the unrest in the Niger-Delta region over oil production is threatening the peace throughout the country. Intercede for peace and for God's protection for all the Nigerian churches, and for the gospel to go forth unhindered.

Maybel Cudjoe

Maybel Cudjoe

Maybel Cudjoe has been a faithful resident care-giver at ACH for many years. Her dedication and love for the children has been a blessing to all of us. Now, Maybel faces life-threatening kidney failure. The medical care available in Ghana for her condition is less than adequate. She needs a Divine touch in her body now to survive. Please pray for God's healing touch on Maybel. Ask God to give peace and faith to the children at ACH under her care. We need a miracle for Maybel.
